CPM Global partnered with several New York City Public Schools to develop a leadership program focused on civic engagement, STEM education, positive mindset coaching, and career readiness. Utilizing social-emotional learning practices, the 8-12 week programs advanced efforts of building core skills in elementary and middle school students. The program consisted of over 6 curricula for schools to choose from and the integration of school leadership, educators, and councilors into the youth-adult partnership model to ensure program sustainability.
“The DOE commits to culturally responsive-sustaining education (CR-SE), a cultural view of learning and human development in which multiple forms of diversity are recognized, understood, and regarded as indispensable sources of knowledge for rigorous teaching and learning."
